Due to coronavirus in China, Chinese are strongly advised to wear a mask. In some cities, it would be punished if you don’t wear masks in public. 1.2 billion ppl need to wear mask. in China, stores are out of stock. all over the world is running for the mask demand from china. Most factories I have contacted in France are already out of stock.

Chinese people around the world are stocking face masks to protect themselves from the new coronavirus. Most of online shopping website and physical stores are out of stocks in China.

Many stores selling anti-virus masks on Taobao (Alibaba) JD were out of stock last week. Across China, Hong Kong and Singapore, people wait for hours in stores and pharmacies in the hope of guaranteeing a declining supply.

Chinese living abroad bought masks

  • – especially the popular N95 variant made by 3M Co.
  • – to send back to family members or resell them online, often via the app WeChat messaging service from Tencent.

A spokesperson for Public Health Wales (PHW) said: “There is not enough evidence to suggest that wearing a face mask has any benefit for the general public.

“The risk to the general public of N-CoV infection remains low.

“Wales Public Health would not encourage people to buy or start wearing face masks unless instructed to do so by a clinician.”

A Boots spokesperson added:

“The best way to prevent virus infection is to make sure you wash your hands regularly with soap and avoid touching your eyes, nose, or mouth to prevent transmission of surfaces, especially after blowing your nose, sneezing and coughing.
